It could have gone very differently if Kevin Magnussen's new boss at BMW hadn't jumped into the water after the Danish Formula 1 choir almost many years ago.
In many ways, Kevin Magnussen owes his life to his future boss at BMW M Motorsport.
The Danish Formula 1 choir tells this with an anecdote about Vincent Vosse, who will be the Dane's employer from 2025.
– I was two years old and was visiting Vosse at his home near Spa in Belgium. I fell in the swimming pool but could not swim.
This is what Racingnews365 writes.
Vincent Vosse, who was dressed in a suit on his way to a gala, immediately jumped into the water to save the then very small K-Mag.

– It probably ruined his whole day, but hopefully I can make it right now, says Magnussen about the rescue.
At the very top of BMW's motorsport department, they are apparently more than happy about the rescue operation at the time. In any case, Andreas Roos, director of BMW M Motorsport, says about the prospect of gaining 10 years of Formula 1 experience.
– His experience from Formula 1 and a season with sports car prototypes in 2021 make him an important resource for us. I am very pleased that he will become part of the BMW M Motorsport family, it seemed, when the news of Magnussen's change came out on Thursday morning this week.
This means that there is no permanent Dane in Formula 1. Frederik Vesti is probably still associated with Mercedes as a test and reserve team. But it is rumored that the Dane will be pushed out by Valtteri Bottas, who himself has lost his seat at Sauber.
However, we are not completely without chances for another Danneborg in Formula 1. Right now, a just 15-year-old racing driver from Roskilde is having a meteoric career in the world of motorsport. Read more about it here .
