Kevin Magnussen gets support – can continue in Formula 1

Nico Hulkenberg, who will switch to the Audi-owned Sauber team after this season, believes that Kevin Magnussen can continue in Formula 1.

Kevin Magnussen can continue in Formula 1. At least if you ask teammate Nico Hulkenberg.

The two racing choirs will share the Haas garage for a little while longer, until the German switches to the Audi-owned Sauber after this season. Magnussen's future, on the other hand, is somewhat more uncertain.

According to Hulkenberg, who went viral in 2017 for dating Magnussen in particular, it doesn't need to be.

That's what PlanetF1.com writes.

In connection with England's grand prix at the Silverstone track last weekend, Hulkenberg made it very clear to the media that he believes that the Danish team-mate still has a chance and a place in Formula 1.

– I'm sure of that. Obviously, it's not up to me. But Kevin has been very steady this year.

Nico Hulkenberg also admitted that the TV images may have made him look much better than Magnussen. However, this is not necessarily the case.

– There have been some moments when really small details made a difference between him and myself.

– On TV, the result and thus the difference has often looked massive. But it's actually really small things when I look at it. And obviously I have more access to data. Therefore, I can also see exactly what has happened in his side of the garage.

– Kevin is doing well. And I believe that he is still a very strong candidate for the job at Haas and perhaps at other teams, Hulkenberg said.
