Jaguar is trying to revive itself as an electric car brand. And now there is no turning back. Because the pure gasoline engines have stopped.
At Jaguar's historic factory in the English town of Castle Bromwich, the car brand last week said goodbye to the internal combustion engine without any electrification.
Here, the brand's last examples of the F-Type, XE and XF models rolled off the assembly line. The moment has been immortalized by the JRL group's PR man Ken McConomy on his "X" profile .

Because cars will not actually be built there anymore. Instead, body parts must be built for the beleaguered brand's hope of resurgence as a purely electric car brand.

In the German media, Jaguar's decision to build exclusively electric cars has already been hailed as boom or bust.
For the same reason, the bet is not just a risk to take. If it does not succeed in convincing motorists, Jaguar will die as a brand, the media believes.
Jaguar also got off to a really bad start when it comes to electric cars. All electric cars that the brand has built since 2018 were once again recalled in March this year.
The car brand has not solved the problem that can cause the electric cars to go up in flames. It is far from the first time the i-Pace has given Jaguar serious headaches.
Back in August 2023, the car brand also had enough of problems, lawsuits and burning cars. Therefore, they removed the model from the program. Read more about it here .
The future of the British brand with the Indian owners is, if there is a future – exclusively on electric cars anyway. Among other things, Jaguar will try to make a competitor to the Porsche Taycan as early as next year.
