The Italians are celebrating these days that it has been 20 years since the concept that became the Fiat 500 was shown to the public.
What happened in 2004? Yes, a Honda CRX Del Sol was just about to become Denmark's most beautiful car that year.
It all happened just a few months after the Fiat 500 was reborn. At least as a concept. Because at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2004, Fiat showed the Trepiuno concept.
However, it would take another three years for the Fiat 500 to become something on an assembly line. The following year, Fiat also developed what would become the Ford Ka. Even on the same platform.
But that is a completely different story. Because even though the Ford Ka is long gone, the Fiat 500 still exists. And now Fiat is launching a special anniversary model called the Tributo Trepiuno.

Changes compared to the regular Fiat 500 are minor. But they are there. Among other things, the dashboard is adorned with drawings of the original Trepiuno concept.
The color – or rather the colors – of the Tributo Trepiuno is another hit. Fiat says the anniversary model is painted in a special shade of white. But actually the emblems are more interesting.
Because they are blue. Exactly as they were between 2001 and 2006, when the model was redesigned. However, the launch in 2007 means that logo never found its way onto the Fiat 500. Well, not for now.
