US authorities say 30 cars were seized in several illegal car events over the weekend .
It is not only in Denmark that the police crack down on car events. They do it in the US too. Recently, police in California cracked down on two events.
Over the weekend, the two car events went nuts. It didn’t just end with 30 cars being impounded. Shots were also fired.
ABC 7 writes that.
In one place, 23 people were arrested for driving too fast. 13 spectators were also arrested, and 14 cars seized for 30 days. In another place, the illegal car collision was so severe that it completely stopped traffic.

This happened, among other things, because shots were fired. Something that the police say injured a total of 4 people. A total of 150 stalls were distributed at the illegal car meets, and the police say that 30 cars were seized in total.
That kind of car crash is called ‘street takeovers’, and it’s apparently a bigger problem in the US. In any case, the country’s political circles do not have a comprehensive solution to the problem.
In some places, however, the police use surveillance material to specifically identify and target people in the often very large crowds.
Here at home, however, it is not unheard of for the police to take away several cars from a hit-and-run. In fact, it happened as late as October last year, when it also rained with stalls. Read more about it here .
