Here is the new BMW M5 Touring for you to see

BMW is soon ready with the new M5 Touring. But the pictures of the car are already out, and that's because you really have to see them.

The new BMW M5 sedan is already the heaviest 5 Series to date. And it is only expected that the new station wagon – or Touring as the Germans say – will be heavier.

On the other hand, it is the first time since the E61 from 2010 that we now have an M5 Touring again. Apart from the extra space, it is expected that BMW will stick to the same recipe in the new station wagon.

So a hybrid-powered 4.4-liter V8 engine with 735 horsepower and a fierce 1,000 Nm. Something BMW let loose for the first time at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July.

Despite a weight of a whopping 2.5 tonnes – i.e. in sedan format – the new M5 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, and it stops – if you tick the right boxes on the equipment list – not with pulling, because the speedometer shows 305 km/h.

It is not the first time that a new BMW is released significantly ahead of time. It is, among other things, happened recently with the new 2 Series, just as the next X3 has already shed the camouflage cloths for time.

It is interesting to note that the new M5 Touring – at least judging from the pictures – does not come with a carbon fiber roof. It turns on the sunroof or nothing.

But according to the niche media BMW Blog, it was expected that the brand from Munich will not sacrifice money on the development of such a large piece of carbon fiber. It is not known whether it will later become an optional extra.
