Happens on January 1, 2025 – now all cars must go through this inspection

It has been delayed several times. But now the Swedish Transport Agency's new app for visionaries and companies is here. Photos must now be taken of all cars that are brought to view.

It cannot be avoided. From 1 January 2025, all vision experts in Denmark must take pictures of all cars manufactured for all types of vision.

This is what the Swedish Transport Agency writes in a press release .

The rule comes into force after a majority in Christiansborg has seen the version of DR's consumer program that uncovers the phenomenon of SMS viewing. Here, motorists order an inspection from an inspector who is willing to approve the car without ever having seen it. Read more about it here.

Typically, the sight costs a few thousand kroner or three. And that is the phenomenon that a majority in Christiansborg would like to see.

Therefore, the rules for vision in Denmark were tightened in December last year. They should have been inducted in April this year. But the Swedish Transport Agency received criticism from hearing experts around the country for not having the technology behind it – a newly developed app called eSyn+ – ready for use.

That is why the Norwegian Transport Agency announced in February that the new requirements were being postponed until the end of 2024. But that was no guarantee, and it will not happen either. Now we have to go straight to the other side of the New Year instead, because the new rules apply.
