Kevin Magnussen gets another colleague from this season. Haas is expanding the garage with another reserve driver.
The only American team in Formula 1 has signed a contract with a new driver. In this way, Haas ensures that it has as many as two test and reserve drivers ahead of the 2024 season.
This is stated by Haas F1 in a press release.
In addition to a new contract for the Brazilian-American Pietro Fittipaldi, Haas has also secured a signature from the just 18-year-old Oliver Bearman, who has ties to Ferrari’s academy.
In addition to his new commitments for Haas, Bearman will drive Formula 2 for Prema Racing. A team that for the last two seasons has had Danish Frederik Vesti sitting in one of its cars.

Bearman, like Pietro Fittipaldi, already has a short test for Haas. For Bearmann, it happened for the first time in the 2023 season. Here, the young Englishman got his hands on a Haas racer during two FP1 practices in Mexico and Abu Dhabi respectively.
As for Haas’ regulars Dane Kevin Magnussen and German Nico Hulkenberg are both now going until their last year in Formula 1. At least on paper.
Their first of what may be their last assignments begins in March, when the 2024 season kicks off in the hurricane state of Bahrain. It is Sunday March 2.
