Gas station chain expands: "The death of the petrol car is exaggerated"

The gas station company Go On Gruppen is expanding in Denmark and calls the rumor about the death of the fossil car greatly exaggerated.

Is the fossil car dead? Probably not at first. In any case, several car brands are now reporting that they are rolling back plans for electric cars and scaling back that type of ambition.

Other car brands are betting massively on the development of new internal combustion engines and cars that have to go with them.

And now it tells the gas station chain Go On Gruppen that it is expanding in Denmark. A profit of DKK 71.4 million and a turnover of DKK 1.6 billion. kroner means that each of the mere 20 full-time employees earns DKK 3.6 million. kroner into the company on average.

– For now, the rumors about the death of the petrol car are greatly exaggerated, says managing director Mick Kjær in an interview with Borsen .

When each employee earns as much for the company as the accounts show to be the case, it is due to a strong focus on an automated business.

There are also no manned Go On stations around Denmark. Nevertheless, the company expects to have 200 gas stations by the end of this year.

Go On are far from the only ones who can still see a business in petrol and diesel. So can Toyota, BMW and Ford.

In fact, Ford managing director Jim Farley has said, referring to the Mustang model, that the brand will 'forever' build a car with a V8 engine.

'Whether we're going to be the last to do it, Farley asked. Read more about that announcement right here .
