Former Formula 1 coach and current commentator Martin Brundle doesn't mince words when it comes to his views on Elon Musk, whom he calls a 'meddling dick'.
Formula 1 commentator Martin Brundle has harshly criticized Elon Musk. On his own X profile, Brundle calls the Tesla CEO a 'dick who meddles in everything global'.
Musk, who bought Twitter in 2022 for $44 billion and renamed it X, has fired most of the social media company's employees. He himself believes this is to save money and protect freedom of expression.
Since the turn of the year, Musk, who is part of President-elect Donald Trump's inner circle, has meddled in everything from Danish to German and British politics. He has called for the imprisonment of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, hailed AfD leader Alice Weidel as the only true leader of Germany and called Greenland American.
Musk believes that Starmer failed to imprison suspected pedophiles while he was the chief prosecutor in England.
This is despite the fact that Starmer was at the forefront of a series of trials that resulted in convictions for several pedophiles.
The previous Conservative government also launched an investigation into allegations of child sexual abuse. The findings and recommendations in the report have yet to be implemented.
Following Musk's acquisition of Twitter/X, critics of the Tesla CEO claim that the platform is flooded with racism and sexism, something that critics claim Musk protects under the guise of free speech.
Today, Martin Brundle himself is considering packing up, closing his profile, and leaving the platform.
– I'm confused. I like Twitter/X. It has served Formula 1, Sky, me and the people around me very well for a long time, he writes .
– But Elon Musk is such a daily global meddler that I feel the need to go somewhere else.
However, he followed up the gossip with another tweet, assuring his 897,000 followers that he is keeping his profile open.
– I'm staying on Twitter/X for now. I haven't found an alternative that suits me. And I have a good team helping me manage it, says Bundle, who has been commentating on Formula 1 since 1997.
Brundle has also recently made himself an unfortunate guest. Among other things, because the former McLaren coach is apparently completely blank when he is made fun of on public television.
