If we are to be the last to do it at all, says Ford boss Jim Farley about the iconic combination of the V8 engine and the Mustang name.
Ford has said that they will only build electric cars in 2030. At least for the European market. But if the brand's managing director, Jim Farley, is to be believed, it is a truth with modifications.
Farley himself hinted at that when he spoke to a group of reporters, as Ford officially kicks off the 2024 lob season next week.
– Tell me about another car that races every weekend on six continents. That's because we have the V8 engine, said Farley when the snow fell on the Mustang model.
That's what Motor1 writes.

Ford sells the Mustang both with and without license plates. In other words 'both on and off the world's racetracks'.
However, in a time of increased focus on car emissions, electric cars also help. In Farley's own words, the Mach-E model grieves, among other things. so that the Mustang can be sold for a long time to come.
– The Mustang turns 60 in a little while. Many of our competitors (competing models, ed.) have slipped away. They have come and gone, so to speak.
– We have never done that. We have always been here with the Mustang. We have the Ecoboost engine and we have the new Dark Horse (with V8 engine, ed.). And we keep investing in it.
– Even if we become the only ones at the plant to build a V8-powered sports car at an affordable price, says Jim Farley.
