Ford dismisses Tesla rumor as 'totally false'

The rumor has already spread all the way to the directors' corridors at Ford, where they now feel compelled to show the story of a Tesla takeover.

It remains unclear where the rumor comes from and what it is about. But now Ford calls the story that the brand has been acquired by Tesla false.

Totally fake actually. This is what a spokesman says.

According to Teslarati, Ford is now trying to put the rumors to rest in a very short announcement. The car brand is not for sale. Neither for Elon Musk nor any other car boss.

– We don't have much to say about it, other than that the story is 'totally false', reads the very short statement.

However, Tesla is not completely unfamiliar with takeovers. But so far it has had something to do with batteries and manufacturing processes. Not all car brands.

Earlier this year, however, Tesla had to see itself beaten at the finish line in the battle for the American brand's 'own company'. Read more about it here .

Although the story of the takeover of Ford has nothing to do with it, Tesla director Elon Musk does not deny that he could think of doing 'other things' with Tesla.

But then it's not necessarily about cars. In an episode of the American podcast 'The Joe Rogan experience', Musk said that Tesla can easily make more than cars.

But then it must be of no use, because other giants such as Apple or Google suddenly start making bad products or censor apps completely away from the public.

– If Apple and Google/Android started doing really bad things, such as censoring apps or playing gatekeepers in a bad way, I think we would make a smartphone, Musk said.
