Ford demands 'high moral standard' in Red Bull case

Red Bull's future partner in Formula 1 is awaiting the results of an internal investigation directed at team manager Christian Horner.

It is only from 2026 that Ford and Red Bull will work together on engines for Formula 1. Although Ford will not supply much other than the money for the project.

Even so, Ford already has something to say in the case, which may be brewing internally at Red Bull. And yet.

Because Ford will not really say anything about the matter, because the internal investigation has been completed. This is written by the news agency AP .

But the head of Ford Performance, Mark Rushbrook, believes that the company lives up to 'high moral standards'. Something you can therefore allow yourself to expect the same from your business partners.

However, Ford must not get off to a good start. Because the 120-year-old brand hides several bodies in the cargo.

Long before Volkswagen was caught cheating with the emission of harmful substances from a number of popular diesel engines, Ford had to pay several million dollars in fines in a similar case.

In 1997, the brand paid $7.8 million in fines, which is equivalent to $15 million today, because the authorities found that Ford had manipulated the emissions of 60,000 Econoline models.

Back at Red Bull, team boss Christian Horner denies all accusations leveled at him. However, he will not say exactly what it is about.

According to the Dutch media Telegraaf, however, the team boss must have offered to pay DKK 5.6 million out of his own pocket to get the case closed. Read more about the case here .
