Fired the Danish boss – now the German is smoking after 8 months

A few months after the firing of its Danish boss, the Chinese car brand Nio has also said goodbye to the German. He managed to have the job for 8 months.

It doesn't work for Chinese Nio. The brand has lost over DKK 4 billion in the first quarter of 2024.

In the same period, the brand fired its top Danish boss, and immediately because of that the staff was thinned out enormously by rank-and-file employees here at home.

And now the German boss has taken a turn. This is written by Automobilwoche .

Marius Hayler managed to have the job for 8 months. The new man in the post is called David Schleudersitz. So unlike Germany, Nio does not flee to Sweden to gather his activities.

However, it is also not because Nio is making a splash in Germany. The brand sold just 35 cars in Germany in the month of May. This is a decrease of 20 percent compared to the month before. In comparison, there have been just 3 Nios on number plates here at home in the same period.

At the same time, new figures show that Nio loses a whopping DKK 120,000 every time they build a car. Otherwise, we don't have to go back more than a year to find a Nio founder, William Li, who criticized Tesla vehemently.

At the Auto Shanghai car show in China, Li had the nerve to both call Tesla cars 'old and bad'. At the same time, the director believed that his own business would make a profit as early as 2023.
