Mirrors may not be the most attractive thing on a car. But that has become the case for several car thieves, and this is now causing FDM to issue a warning.
Cars are now so advanced that even in minor parts they are extremely sought after for the wrong types. Namely those with long fingers.
In a new article, the Danish interest organization FDM says that thieves are now on the hunt for side mirrors.
According to the organisation, they have heard about 10 car owners on the same road in Hvidovre who, in the course of January alone, have come out to cars without side mirrors.
At Nordsjælland's Police, they confirm the picture that FDM paints. The police circle says they have seen the thefts for half a year.

The problem is also present in other police circles. Among other things on the Copenhagen west sign. The law enforcement authorities suspect that it is an organized theft, where the thieves grab the side mirrors 'to order'.
For the car owners, it can be a particularly expensive 'pleasure' to have had that kind of visit. In several cases, the thieves 'just' run with the glass in the side mirrors.
Faced with FDM, Mercedes in Denmark says that the glasses can easily fetch up to DKK 2,500 to DKK 3,000. But it can easily become more expensive.
Both at home and abroad, the thieves are happy with the headlights from one very specific car brand. Read more about it here .
