Famous Ferrari mechanic thrown in jail

He has been praised by stars such as Jay Leno. But now Donnie Callaway has ended up behind bars after accusations of theft and fraud.

The American Donnie Callaway has made a bit of a name for himself as a Ferrari mechanic in the part of the car world that revolves around classic cars.

Callaway has made such a mark that even talk show host Jay Leno has praised him for his work on a white Ferrari 308 GTB from 1984.

But on April 1, Callaway rowed a trip behind bars. Here he is accused of having tried to defraud a Ferrari collector in a trade with a Ferrari Daytona and a 512BB.

Bloomberg writes that.

Both the police and the Ferrari collector do not believe that Callaway actually owns the cars. Therefore, he is now sitting in a cell with a bail amount of 400,000 dollars and awaiting his trial.

However, it does not begin until August. So Donnie Callaway should have plenty of time to prepare his defense.

On the social media Instagram, an entire Instagram profile has been created that is only about the fraud that Donnie Callaway has allegedly committed.

– I take your car apart, only to never put it back together again. One day the car will probably be mine, says a post from the profile, which pretends to be Donnie Callaway himself.
