In a speech to his employees, Elon Musk explained that he understands if people don't like the cars. At the same time, he urged people to hold onto the shares.
– I understand if you don't want to buy our product, but you don't have to burn it. That's a bit unfair.
This is what a Tesla director told his employees at the car brand in connection with an event that was broadcast live on the social media X.
This is reported by Bloomberg .
However, Elon Musk also made it clear that he thinks employees should hold on to their shares, even though their value has more than halved since Donald Trump became president.
– But what I'm telling you is that the future is incredibly bright and exciting, and we're going to do things that no one has ever dreamed of, he continues.
Elon Musk: Hold on to the stocks, it's going to be crazy!
– What I'm saying is: Hold on to your shares!, Musk said.
In connection with the event, Elon Musk was not slow to take a sharp shot at the media, which he believes is painting a doomsday picture of Tesla in particular.
"When you read the news, it can feel like doomsday," says Musk, who adds that he himself can't turn on the news channels without seeing a Tesla on fire.
And some Teslas do burn too. It's just that the perpetrators behind what President Trump, among others, has called terrorism don't always get away with it.
Just last week, a South Carolina man attempted to set fire to a Tesla charging station. He ended up fleeing the scene after setting himself on fire. Read more about it here .
The man, along with two other people suspected of vandalism against Tesla, have since been arrested. They now face up to 20 years in prison each.
