On Friday evening, a driver ended up with nothing but food in his mouth while waiting in line at Burger King in Koldning. The police actually came by.
A 36-year-old man took a nap in the line at Burger King in Kolding on Friday evening. The man had apparently fallen asleep while waiting to order his food at the drive-in.
A patrol from the Southeast Jutland Police was called to Burger King on Vonsildvej at 7:43 p.m. There they found the driver asleep behind the wheel.
"He's waiting in line and about to order, and then he just falls asleep," duty manager John Skjodt tells TV Syd .
The police woke the man up, and in connection with this they found hashish and amphetamine in the car.
The man was therefore charged with possession of narcotics.
In addition, a blood sample was taken from the man to determine whether he was under the influence of drugs during the chase.
If the blood test proves positive, the man can expect additional charges.
The incident took place at the Burger King drive-in on Vonsildvej in Kolding. It is not known whether the man managed to get his food at Burger King, as he fell asleep.
It is also not known how long the man had been sitting in the queue, because he fell asleep. The case has now been handed over to the South East Jutland Police for further investigation.
