Danish Le Mans team announces mass layoffs

Businessman René Birch is now announcing rounds of layoffs in several of his companies. Here at GMB Motorsport there was a short 24 hour race at the Le Mans circuit in France last year.

He has made a billion profit from selling his life's work, Brinch Properties. But René Birch must now tighten his belt.

That's what Finance writes.

The businessman thus confirms to the media that he has announced mass redundancies in his companies. Including the Danish motorsport team GMB Motorsport.

A team that i.a. came up short in the legendary 24-hour lob at the Le Mans Circuit de la Sarthe in France last year.

However, René Birch will not answer why employees are to be fired – and how many there are in question.

But motorsport in particular has been an expensive pastime for the businessman. The Danish team came up short in its first two financial years with a double-digit million deficit.

Just a year ago, there were otherwise great ambitions to trace in the Danish garage. At the time, it appeared that they wanted to enter the 2024 edition of Le Mans with as many as two cars.
