The Danish charging platform Monta opens headquarters in Miami. The goal is one million charging points for electric cars by 2030 at the latest.
The Danish charging platform Monta, which connects electric drivers with charging stations, has this week opened a head office in the United States.
The office, located in Miami, will serve as a base for Monta's expansion in the US market, where the company aims to connect 1 million charging points by the end of 2030.
Monta has already achieved success in Denmark and Europe with its platform that makes it easy for electric drivers to find and pay for charging.
The company has entered into partnerships with a number of Danish energy companies, including Norlys, EWII and NRGi, as well as operators of charging stations such as Uno-X and Zapp Mobility.
– As the adoption of electric cars accelerates in the US, industry players will need a platform like ours to take their business to the next level, says Casper Rasmussen, director of and co-founder of Monta, in a press release .

Monta plans to hire 30 employees at its US headquarters by the end of 2025. The company has set ambitious goals for its growth in the US and expects to have connected 25,000 commercial charging stations to the platform by the end of 2025.
Despite challenges in the American economy and political landscape, the market for electric cars continues to experience rapid growth. According to BCG, nearly half of all new car sales in the US are expected to be electric by 2030.
However, there is still a need for improvements to the charging infrastructure in the US, where a significant proportion of charging fails or does not deliver the expected effect. Monta believes that their software solutions can contribute to optimizing the charging experience and support the continued spread of electric cars in the US.
