Danish company bans all employees from driving

On the first of August this year, Energinet will introduce a ban on driving forwards into the company's car parks.

It is hardly grounds for dismissal. But from 1 August it will be forbidden for all employees of the Fredericia company Energinet to park forwards in stalls.

This is written by TV Syd .

According to the media, Energinet calls the new ban a 'micro-action' to make employees extra aware of safety.

The company denies that the new ban is a problem. Instead, they defend themselves by saying that employees who feel insecure about the required manoeuvre, must get used to it.

Incidentally, this is not the first time that Energinet has introduced a ban in the workplace. In December 2023, it was forbidden to climb the company's stairs without holding onto the railing. Energinet also expects to introduce more bans in the future.

Energinet is not the first to ban a Danish workplace. Last year, the Employers' Association Tekniq tried a campaign to ban certain posters in workshops around Denmark.

However, the campaign received a mixed reception. And subsequently it caused some mechanics – and motorists – to cry out. It's censorship, the critics said. Read more about it here .
