Danish car company gives up and fires all employees

In a press release, the reason for the closure is that it does not make sense to continue. All the employees have therefore been dismissed.

Autocentralen will no longer have a car dealer at Hirsevej 1 in Haderslev, as they announced in a press release . The company will leave the site by the end of April this year at the latest and describes the decision as 'a tedious but necessary' action.

– It is a very complex and challenging time, especially in the car industry, and unfortunately it is sometimes necessary to make some difficult decisions. says the managing director of Autocentralen, Anders Jensen.

The director justifies the closure of the business in Haderslev with the development of the industry, a development that has already had major consequences in Denmark, including that several importers have terminated all their dealers.

– That is why we are closing the business in Haderslev. It's not a decision we made because we think it's fun, but rather it's about due diligence, he explains.

Before the decision to close was made, Autocentralen's management emphasizes that all options were carefully considered. But no choice but to close seemed sensible.

The company now plans to assist the approximately 20 affected employees in finding new jobs to make the transition as smooth as possible for them.

But it is not only in Denmark that car dealers are experiencing difficult times. For example, the head of the world's fourth largest car group predicts a significant market collapse. Read more about it here .
