Dacia now has Denmark's cheapest car with automatic transmission

The budget brand Dacia, which is part of the Renault Group, is storming forward in Europe. But here at home, sales are lagging. Now the importer is trying its hand at Denmark's cheapest car.

In the Danish market, Dacia has traditionally not dominated the sales statistics. However, the brand has experienced a four percent increase in sales in Europe in the first half of 2024 compared to the same period last year.

From January to July 2024, 309,816 new Dacia cars were registered, making Dacia the ninth best-selling car brand in Europe.

A large part of this success can be attributed to the Dacia Sandero model, which has sold 164,789 units. This makes the Sandero the best-selling car model in Europe.

Now the model is also being introduced in Denmark, where a Dacia Sandero with CVT automatic transmission will be sold for DKK 169,990. This makes it Denmark's most affordable car with automatic transmission. 5,000 kroner more expensive than the version with manual gear.

The importer writes this in a press release .

For DKK 169,990 you get the Expression version, which includes extensive equipment such as a multimedia system with an 8-inch touch screen, 16-inch alloy wheels, rear view camera and front seat heating.

On the safety front, automatic emergency braking with cyclist and pedestrian detection is standard. The car also meets the latest European safety requirements (GSR2), which means that lane assist, reversing sensor and fatigue alarm are standard equipment.

Sandero shares a platform with Renault Clio and Renault Captur, which ensures good space for four adults, a spacious trunk and six airbags.

The Dacia Sandero CVT Expression comes with a three-year warranty/100,000 km and can also be privately leased. The initial payment is DKK 9,995, the monthly payment is DKK 2,595, and the leasing period is 36 months.
