Cybertruck destroyed by pothole – cost DKK 226,000

A Tesla Cybertruck had to be repaired for a staggering 226,000 Danish kroner after the owner hit a pothole. It took four months.

A Tesla Cybertruck has undergone extensive repairs at a cost of 226,000 kroner after it hit a pothole in the road. The subframe broke in two. The repair itself took 96 hours. And it took four months to get all the parts.

The owner shared details of the incident on the social media site Reddit, where he showed off a 22-page document with a list of replaced parts.

"It's still the most amazing pickup truck I've ever owned!" the owner writes in the post.

The Cybertruck had to be towed to a Tesla repair shop after the hole. The replacements included the entire rear frame, steering systems, bumpers, air suspension system, and other damaged parts.

The insurance covered the expenses. So paid the entire bill. Presumably minus the deductible. But the owner does not want to elaborate on what exactly happened.

According to Autoevolution , citing a Cybertruck blogger, the $77,000 price tag for subframe repairs may indicate that the vehicle has been subjected to stress beyond normal use.

Earlier this year, YouTuber "WhistlinDiesel" also experienced problems with the subframe of his Cybertruck when he was towing a Ford F-150.

"A normal pickup would have passed these tests," he said. Unlike the Reddit user, however, WhistlinDiesel deliberately subjected his Cybertruck to extreme tests.

The incident raises questions about the Cybertruck's robustness compared to Tesla's marketing of it as "durable and hardy enough to go anywhere."
