Copenhagen is the world's fourth most expensive city to park in

A new survey by DiscoverCars.com has found that Copenhagen is the fourth most expensive city in the world when it comes to parking costs and stalls.

The survey covers 80 of the world's most populated cities and looks at average prices for on-street parking per person. hour and stalls for parking violations.

Copenhagen achieved a score of 141 points, placing the city as the seventh most expensive for street parking with an hourly price of DKK 34.50. Parking stalls in Copenhagen are also high, with an average price of DKK 1,315.04, making them the world's 14th most expensive.

Aleksandrs Buraks, Head of Growth at DiscoverCars.com, said: "Our team found it interesting to see differences in parking charges across the world. Copenhagen was the only Nordic city in the top 10, and the cost of parking there is certainly something to consider."

"But the city offers many exciting things, so don't let parking costs keep you from exploring Copenhagen."

At the top of the list is Amsterdam with 158 points, where parking costs DKK 46.73 per person. hour and the stalls average DKK 2,307.08. Chicago follows with 156 points, where the stalls are DKK 1,825.79 and parking costs DKK 45.10 per hour. hour.

London is number three with 143 points, and parking prices of DKK 54.19 per person. hour and stands at DKK 932.41.

The survey also highlights interesting places in Copenhagen, such as Rosenborg Castle, which is only a six-minute car ride from the center. The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, which offers free parking, is about a 40-minute car ride north of town. The Torvehallerne food market, with a large car park just two minutes' walk from the centre, is also worth a visit.
