Fisker Ocean didn't just get a hard foot seal. Even the car brand is having a hard time after fierce criticism, and a major update has not corrected it, writes a consumer magazine.
It's now been a month since YouTuber Marques Brownlee called the Fisker Ocean "the worst car I've ever reviewed".
The review caused so much fuss that a Fisker employee ended up threatening the car dealer who had lent Brownlee a car with violence.
Fisker would not lend the YouTuber a car himself, i.a. because the brand felt that Ocean was not ready to be tested.
Now Fisker has started rolling out a software update called 2.0 for the car. But it hasn't helped anything. At least not according to the American consumer magazine Consumer Reports .

Here the car is called both unfinished, bizarre and rather unappetizing in its current form. And so it is with the new software that Fisker insists corrects many of the errors in Ocean.
Errors that Danish owners also complain about. Among others, Danish Jesper, who has told Boosted about some of the many problems with his own Ocean.
However, the consumer magazine does not only have bad things to say about the car from the Danish designer. Speaking of design, the car actually looks good, the Americans think. The cabin is inviting and bright and perhaps just as importantly, Fisker has remembered the physical buttons.
But then the rose for Fisker Ocean also dries up. One of the consumer magazine's reviewers, for example, calls it "completely unacceptable that the security systems promised by Fisker come and go".
This is happening because, say the Americans, there are still mistakes in Fisker Ocean. And when the safety systems stop working, the car does not always warn about it.
In addition, there are problems with the brakes, says the consumer magazine, which overall finds it very difficult to recommend the car to anyone.
