The former Top Gear and Grand Tour host is going his own way with a new car show on TV, which has now been given the green light for another season.
Richard Hammond, known from the car program Top Gear and later The Grand Tour, is continuing his television career after the end of the popular show last year.
Hammond's solo project, Richard Hammond's Workshop, which has been around since 2021, has just been given the green light for another season.
It marks the fifth season of the series, which follows Richard Hammond as he repairs and restores classic cars through his company, The Smallest Cog. The program airs on Quest TV and can also be streamed on Discovery+.
The series focuses on restoring classic cars.
– Richard Hammond's Workshop has been a great success for Discovery+, and the program is one of theirs, writes The Sun.
Richard Hammond has more Grand Tour coming
Alongside his own show, Richard Hammond has had time to catch up with his former Top Gear colleague James May. In front of the camera, they visited the former studio where the BBC filmed the show between 2002 and 2023.
The visit took place at Dunsfold Aerodrome and is part of the filming for James May's YouTube series called Planet Gin.
During the visit to the old Top Gear premises, where the two TV hosts previously worked together, they shared their thoughts on being back.
James May, now 62, showed around while noting how dilapidated the place is.
Richard Hammond reflected on the significance of the place and the memories it evoked:
– This is where we gathered, worked on scripts, had arguments. I feel strange being back. I feel like it's really strange to be here.
The reunion provided a glimpse into their shared past at the location that was once the center of their work on the world-renowned car program.
Top Gear fans can rejoice, however, that there is actually more Grand Tour with Jeremy Clarkson, Hammond and May on the way. Read more about it here .
