Car dealer struck by tragedy – hid Mazda away for 34 years

The story of car dealer Heinz Macchi is a tragic one. After both his wife and son passed away, he became obsessed with collecting cars. The car here, a Mazda 323F, was stored for 34 years.

Car dealer Heinz Macchi was allegedly found dead in the business in 2014, shortly before it went bankrupt.

Before that, the man had lost both his wife and son. The man who bought the majority of the cars is called Michael Rozciecha. He took a total of 86 cars with him to Poland, and these are the ones that are now being sold off 10 years later.

Among them this Mazda 323F. From being a common sight in the 90s and well into the 00s, the model has now all but disappeared.

The car here has not covered more than 630 kilometers since 1990, and it appears both according to the ad and from the pictures as brand new. Under the bonnet is a 1.8-litre four-cylinder petrol engine coupled to a five-speed manual gearbox and front-wheel drive.

However, there is little extra equipment. Conversely, the sunroof is electric, although the windows all around are manually operated.

The car was actually supposed to have been sold in Switzerland from new, but it never got that far. This means that the next owner can be the first ever to register the car.

The story of Heinz Macchi is otherwise as tragic as it is fascinating. Boosted first told about the place 4 years ago. However, that does not make the story any less worth reading. Read it all here .

The light blue Mazda 323F will otherwise cost 17,950 euros, corresponding to 133,000 Danish kroner. We don't dare to guess what you will get out of registration tax.

PS: The taillights for a 323F survived long after Mazda stopped production. They continued life on the Aston Martin DB7 until 2004.
