Car brand will pay its customers per horsepower

Dodge's somewhat distinctive offering is back. This time, however – unfortunately – it cannot be used on a Hellcat model.

There are different ways to get a discount in the world of cars. One of them is to be good at negotiating, both when it comes to new and used cars.

Another is the car brands' own bait. Here the "Dodge Power Dollars" are a good example. Behind the name lies the opportunity to get money back when buying a brand new car.

Or at least some of them. Dodge will pay certain customers $10 for every horsepower a new car produces.

That's what Cars Direct writes.

This time Dodge runs the campaign, but without the most brutal Hellcat models. The offer also only applies to Challenger, Charger and Durango models from last year. So 2023.

This means that there is, for example, 3,600 dollars corresponding to 25,000 kroner to save on a new Dodge Durango R/T.

It has now been 5 years since Dodge last sent such an offer to the streets. Back then in 2019, it was actually possible to get ten bucks back for every horsepower, even in the Hellcat models.

In other words, Dodge customers at that time could get back 7,200 dollars corresponding to 49,800 kroner for a brand new Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat for 61,754 dollars. That's just under 430,000 Danish kroner.

Speaking of Dodge: The brand may have changed its mind, at least when it comes to electric cars. Read more about it here.
