Rimac, which already owns Bugatti, has entered into an agreement with BMW, which means that the Croatians will henceforth supply batteries for all electric cars from Bavaria.
Croatian car brand Rimac, which already owns Bugatti, has entered into an agreement with BMW.
The agreement implies that the subdivision of Rimac, Rimac Technologies, must supply all batteries for BMW's future electric cars.
The parties state this in a press release .
When the agreement will come into force and what it will look like more concretely, the partners do not wish to comment on this at this time. But especially for Rimac's founder, Mate Rimac, the agreement with BMW must be like closing a very special chapter in history.

Mate Rimac's journey into the car industry began in 2007 when he installed a battery pack in an already old BMW E30 3-Series from 1984. The car used Mate Rimac, among other things, for operation.
Details of the new agreement are scarce, as mentioned, but BMW states that Rimac's batteries are to be placed in 'selected electric vehicles'.
This could mean that everything from Mini to Rolls-Royce as well as BMW's new model range of electric cars – called Neue Klasse – will be equipped with the batteries.
