It was among the world's most expensive cars in the late 80s. But now this W 126 S-Class, which once belonged to Scorpions guitarist Uli Jon Roth, is worth nothing.
Mercedes' S-Class and the rock band Scorpions may have more in common than you might think.
In any case, a Mercedes-Benz 500 SE from 1989, which previously belonged to the well-known guitarist Uli Jon Roth, who played with the Scorpions in the 1970s, has just been put up for sale.
The car gives fans the opportunity to own a classic S-Class with a special history – a car that was once in the hands of a famous rock musician.
The details of when exactly Roth owned the car do not appear in the ad. But it is certain that his name was on the registration certificate.
Today the car is for sale for DKK 66,000 (with the option of selling, the dealer informs, ed.). For that kind of money, you can get behind the wheel and dream about what it was like for Uli Jon Roth to drive in the same car. Maybe even with Scorpions' hits on the system.

However, the S-Class has been on the road for many years and has only around 343,000 kilometres. It is clear that the car has not only been an ornamental object in a collection.
During its 35 years, the V8 engine of 5 liters and with the 252 horsepower has on average covered nearly 10,000 kilometers per year. But for an old Mercedes, it may actually be better for the car to be regularly on the road rather than just sitting there unused.
Although the car has some signs of use after its long life, it was approved at the last inspection about a year and a half ago. According to the German traffic regulations, the car must not be seen again until April next year.
The pictures of the car just can't hide more rust spots. Especially on the front fenders. But otherwise the paint, which is probably "Diamond Blue Metallic", looks to be pretty good. Inside, the car has blue velor seats which rather don't show signs of wear and tear when you take the mileage into account.
