Since it became legal to retrofit LED bulbs in halogen headlights in Denmark, the industry has had difficulty keeping up with demand. But now there is something new.
It has long been a wish for many motorists. And now it is actually legal to install LED bulbs in cars with halogen headlights.
The Swedish Transport Agency stated this earlier this year in an email reply to Boosted. But the interest has also been felt in the industry.
That's what Motor magazine writes.

At Philips, it is now reported that the company's Pro6000 Boost bulbs are ready for delivery. So the wait is over if these are the bulbs that drivers in cars with halogen headlights want.
However, the trees do not grow into the sky. Not even when it comes to the much better light the LED bulbs put on the road.
Because even though LED bulbs are now legal in halogen headlights, the headlight must still be approved for the 'alien' mounting.
In the past, a number of manufacturers have announced that they expect the German KBA, which is the equivalent of the Danish Transport Agency, to approve more and more cars with halogen lights for LED installation.
And because it is KBA that handles the approval process at EU level, the rest of the union's member states must follow suit.
Something Denmark officially did when the Swedish Transport Agency issued an updated vision guide shortly before Christmas last year. However, KBA legalized the LED bulbs in halogen lights already in September.
