Audi owner gets DKK 12,000 in fines – "I can't see red lights"

An Audi owner claimed he can't see red lights. It was a very expensive choral trip, because it later turned into a case in the district court.

Norway is full of tunnels and, not least, traffic rules that must be followed. However, it can be difficult if you can't see anything.

Or at least as an Audi owner claims – namely that he could not see and had not seen the red light he passed.

This is written by Østlandets Blad .

In court, the man said that he first became aware that he had too many cards when the police suddenly stood in front of him and told him.

The traffic lights were otherwise messy for the motorists, because the same road that the Audi owner was continuing on was completely blocked further on.

In the district court, however, the judge did not believe the Audi owner's explanation. He was therefore fined 12,000 Norwegian kroner, equivalent to 8,000 Danish kroner. Just as he must pay the costs of the case of DKK 1,000.

The man's choir caused so many cuts in the choir card that he now has to do without it for a period of six months. The judge also believed that it was something completely different from vision that caused the driver to 'overlook' the red light.

– The traffic, which is in violation of the signage, is probably due to the fact that the defendant was not sufficiently aware of it. Either because he was more focused on the police car, other signs at the scene or other circumstances, the judgment reads.

Bad excuses are nothing new in traffic. But one must be careful that others do not recognize the truth. A Tesla owner recently had to admit that, when he recently had to pay 700,000 kroner for his ex-wife's 'gossip'. Read more about it here .
