Aston Martin will build a Lamborghini at its factory in England

After shooting a white stick after the electric car, it is now rumored that Aston Martin has plans for another SUV. A car the size of a special Lamborghini.

It won't necessarily be a new Lamborghini LM002 that Aston Martin has in mind. But at the factory in Gaydon, England, something is happening anyway.

In any case, a new SUV project has been given the internal name 'project Rambo'. This is what sources 'close to the factory' say now.

That's what Autocar writes.

According to the media, Aston Martin will build an even bigger SUV than the DBX it already has in the model range. However, the media's information also points towards a very small production.

In total, maybe just 2,500 cars will be made. But in that case it will require a greater kinship with the DBX than Aston Martin would be able to manage if it had been a completely new model for regular series production.

Conversely, Aston Martin is not the brand that just shoots cars out of the factory gates. According to its dealer in Houston, USA, the brand builds on average just over 5,000 cars a year.

However, the headquarters expected in mid-2023 to have built 7,000 cars before the end of the year. This is a fair distance up to Ferrari, which last year built a whopping 13,000 cars.

But back to Aston Martin. Specifically, the DBX, which one must assume the new model will be based on. If the technique is basically the same, that means at least 540 horsepower from a 4-liter, 8-cylinder Mercedes engine.

However, there is also the possibility that Aston starts from the even wilder top model DBX 707. Or a completely new V12 engine. Read more about how it might be connected here .
