It is already banned in Oslo, and now another Norwegian city is following the capital's example and banning electric cars on bus lanes.
Although electric cars still have a heavy presence on the market for new cars in Norway, the electric car is losing more and more advantages. Now another city bans the type of car in bus lanes.
Since 6 May this year, electric cars have thus been banned in bus lanes in Trondheim. The country's third largest city thus follows the example of the capital Oslo, where the advantage has already been removed.
This is written by the media Nidaros.no.
The local media writes that the city government has decided to prioritize public transport, which is why the electric cars are now being thrown off the bus lanes.

Later, it is expected that the city municipality will apply to the Norwegian state for permission to remove the electric cars from all roads reserved for public transport.
In Norway, several have complained that traffic has only gotten worse after electric cars were allowed to use the roads that are otherwise reserved for buses. Several of the roadways have also been converted so that only heavy vehicles – i.e. those over 7.5 tonnes – may use them.
However, it is not only the electric car that is losing steam in Norway. In general, it looks bleak for car sales in the north. In fact, it has not been worse for the sale of new cars in Norway for more than 30 years.
A weak Norwegian krone is mainly to blame for this. At home, conversely, car sales are doing better. In fact, Denmark is the only country in all of Scandinavia where sales of new cars are progressing.
