Another giant company drops all Teslas

There are several reasons why Tesla is now completely disappearing from the fleet of the German software company SAP. However, the reasons are similar to some others have already stated.

Tesla has already lost some of its biggest customers. At the car rental company Sixt, you want to get rid of the brand's cars completely. At competitor Hertz, there are Teslas among the 20,000 electric cars they want to get rid of.

And now another company joins the chorus. The German software giant SAP wants to get rid of all Teslas in a fleet that consists of a total of 29,000 company cars.

This is written by the German media Handelsblatt .

According to the media, the company is removing Tesla from its list of suppliers when it comes to company cars. And there is a reason for that in particular, says fleet commander Steffen Krautwasser.

Similar to both the one and the other large rental company, SAP cites fluctuations in Tesla's prices as one of the reasons for cutting ties with the car brand.

– List prices fluctuate more with Tesla than with other car brands. Which makes planning more difficult and constitutes a higher risk for us.

– is often delivered earlier than agreed. Given the large volumes that SAP procures, this creates problems with both logistics and storage.

– Seen from Tesla's side, it makes sense. But for us it is a problem, it says.

The picture is roughly the same at Hertz. There is also concern here that you cannot get nearly as much for the cars on resale as you had expected.

In addition, both Sixt and Hertz complain about higher than expected costs for repairs. But that's how it is for electric cars in general and not just those with the Tesla logo.
