The Hyundai group's premium brand Genesis seems to be withdrawing from a strategy that will make the model program 100 percent electric.
Hyundai's premium brand Genesis has apparently lost faith that a model range consisting entirely of electric cars can still be attractive to motorists.
At any rate, the brand is now hesitating to implement a plan to produce only electric cars from the beginning of 2025.
Like many other car brands, Genesis must note that electric cars are losing ground, while hybrids are once again gaining ground. This happens even though the car brand has never actually had a hybrid model in their range.

Right now they have several actual electric cars. But only one of them – the GV60, a Model Y-sized SUV – is built on a dedicated electric vehicle platform.
However, Genesis can get the hybrid part from the parent company Hyundai, which also has plug-in hybrids in its program at home.
In fact, Korean Economy Daily writes that it is precisely hybrids that Genesis' American dealers are looking for. And they are far from alone in this.
At Mercedes, they change their strategy after two years, because the dealers find it difficult to sell the pure electric cars. And at General Motors it is now also rumored that they will let the hybrids survive. Read more about it here .
