Angry motorists cut short environmental activists at the weekend

On Sunday afternoon, both police and ambulance personnel responded to traffic chaos around Copenhagen Airport, where a number of motorists had had enough of climate activists.

On Sunday afternoon, the dissatisfaction brought out the less nice side of a number of motorists, when some climate activists protested against some private planes at Kobehavns Airport.

This is what presse-fotos.dk writes.

According to the media, some drivers became so impatient that they chose to hit the activists. It is about at least two drivers, it says.

On the contrary, it should be said that at least one activist had laid down on a stretch of road to prevent motorists from passing by.

The trouble caused the police to move out and drag away the activists. The police were initially informed that a photographer had been injured. But it now turned out to be mostly his own fault, as he had fallen of his own accord.

This interpretation is confirmed by duty manager Dyre Sonnicksen to presse-fotos.dk. It is far from the first time that motorists and climate activists have come into conflict with each other.

In fact, it has happened several times in the Copenhagen area alone in recent times. The angry activists have, among other things, blocked motorway junctions and roads in Frederiksberg. Read more about ithere .
