An unknown rule makes it legal to bark in the face of rot

It is not always illegal to complain about mess. But far from all Danish drivers know that rule.

In principle, it costs 2,000 kroner and a cut in the choir card to choir against rot. Despite the punishment, a survey last year showed that a frightening number of Danes do just that.

In other words, chorals against rot. But it is not always that it is illegal. Because there are situations where an otherwise very strict traffic law can be banned.

It's just not a rule that all Danish drivers know. Not even though it can be good to know when an emergency corvette is approaching.

The police write this on the law enforcement agency's own Facebook page .

– It is permitted to run against a red light, if it is done to make room for an emergency convoy. However, you must first make sure that it does not pose a danger to others. If the police are present, you must always follow the police's instructions.

In general, however, the police encourage you to pull in to the right if you are driving in moving traffic and an emergency vehicle wants to move forward.

However, East Jutland's fire brigade has been successful in teaching drivers a completely different behavior when help comes.

– This is a school example of what an emergency corridor should look like, said Soren Moller, head of operations in East Jutland's fire department, to TV2 East Jutland when he praised the drivers back in October last year. Read more about it here .
