Abroad shocked by Denmark: "The state took his Ferrari"

The news that a motorist has had his leased Ferrari 488 Spider confiscated has now also reached abroad. And here one is in shock to say the least.

Ferrari confiscated after crazy carousel. Short 200 km/h – must do without Ferrari worth 5 million kroner.

These are just some of the headlines that a Danish Supreme Court judgment has created abroad. Blue. in Sweden. Several international media are in shock over the Danish section on the carousel of madness.

Even though the law is more than 3 years old, and one of the most notable cases is actually about a foreigner who spent too much money in Denmark. The man later stated that "Denmark has stolen my car". Read more about it here.

The story of the Ferrari is different, and concerns a Danish car dealer who in Easter 2021 – i.e. immediately after the law on speeding came into force – cut a newly purchased Ferrari 488 Spider at least 200 km/h.

However, he has always pleaded not guilty. Which he also did in the High Court. One of the stronger pieces of evidence, however, was the footage from the civilian police car that tried to hang onto the Ferrari.

In court, the police officer even explained that he had more than difficulty just following with the car. And now that news has also reached abroad.

Perhaps because the car dealer, in addition to the stall he stands at, also has to spend 20 days in prison. Just as he must not drive a car for the next three years. There is probably a bigger claim waiting for him from the leasing company that owns the car.

However, Denmark is not the only country with a section in the traffic law specifically against crazy traffic. Earlier this year, another European country was so inspired that a similar law has now been introduced. Read more about it here .
