PRACTICE! Ferrari's first electric car also gets a fake engine sound

Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna promised electric cars with a unique soundtrack. For the first time, we can now hear what he means.

Right now, a raised Ferrari, which is not a Purosangue, is rolling around near the Ferrari factory in Maranello. Unfortunately, that car makes a false engine sound.

Because even if Ferrari tries to camouflage the prototype, the fake rudder tails cannot hide the fact that it is an electric car. An electric Ferrari car is expected to be presented with a hideous price tag as early as next year.

The brand's managing director Benedetto Vigna has already promised electric cars with very special sounds. In fact, there must be sounds created specifically for each model. It is only now that we can really get an idea of what the director means.

The first bid for a 'unique' sound is not to be mistaken. Ferrari has done everything to make the car sound like a V8. Even if there is no sign of combustion in the car.

Conversely, Ferrari can be quite indifferent to the attitudes of the outside world. Customers are probably already lining up for the brand's first ever electric car. In fact, Ferrari is the car brand in the whole world that earns absolutely the most per car.

Conversely, the people at the factory in Maranello are far from being the first to add sound to an otherwise silent car type.

Maserati does exactly the same with the GranTurismo Folgore, and sister brand Dodge doesn't just think that the electric car is a better bet for a muscle car than anything else. The car, the Charger Daytona, tries without hiding the fact that it sounds like its predecessor with a 6.2-liter V8 engine.

Even the little Abarth 500e, which is based on the electric Fiat of the same name, tries to make electric cars sound like something they're not.

You can judge for yourself whether Ferrari got it right with regard to the artificial engine sound by playing the clip below. Share your thoughts with us in the comments section of this article on Facebook.
