There are more fun things in this world than contributing to the state economy via a speed booth. For the same reason, some drivers try to sneak around, even though they are actually on the wrong side of the law.
In France, some drivers with too heavy right feet try to hide from the police. That is, in broad daylight. The crafty motorists then also drive past the photo vans.

But the reflective stickers that are sold online as parcel solutions are illegal when they are used in that way to circumvent the traffic law.
The French authorities also crack down hard on motorists who attempt this sort of thing. The punishment for disrupting the police's work in this way is not just a fine.
However, the stall itself is quite hefty. Up to 1,500 euros, equivalent to 11,000 Danish kroner. In addition, motorists can be punished by having their driver's license revoked, and in serious cases the driver's vehicle can be seized.

According to SpeedingEurope, there are around 5,000 speed traps in France that are currently actively monitoring traffic in the country.
