China mark extends service interval on Danish cars

The BYD importer in Denmark now believes so much in the brand's cars that they have extended the service interval on the cars here at home.

From now on, BYD's passenger cars, including the BYD Atto 3, will have extended service intervals that apply to both new and already registered cars on the Danish market.

Previously, BYD owners had to have the car serviced every 12 months or at 20,000 short kilometers. Now this changes to every 24 months or 30,000 kilometers, whichever comes first. The new scheme has already come into force and applies to all models.

This adjustment is part of BYD's overall goal of improving the terms of ownership and reducing the cost of maintenance.

Longer time between service visits can potentially reduce the total number of workshop visits, which can contribute to minimizing time consumption and logistical challenges for car owners.

The importer writes this in a press release .

– Changing our service intervals is proof of our trust in the quality of cars from BYD. We want to make it as easy and economical as possible for our customers to maintain their cars," says Anders Blaaberg, PR & Marketing Manager from BYD Denmark.

The new intervals do not only affect new cars. All BYD customers who have already purchased and registered their car will also benefit from the updated service requirements. This means that the cars can drive longer between workshop visits, without compromising technical performance or operational reliability.

BYD's electric cars come with a factory warranty of 6 years or 150,000 kilometers, whichever comes first. In addition, the cars' batteries have a warranty of 8 years or 200,000 kilometers. This coverage remains unchanged even if service intervals are extended.
