Motorists caught on the same road received DKK 55,000 in fines

Not just one, but several citizens were tired of motorists who flouted the traffic law. It came to 55,000 kroner in stalls in two hours.

2 hours spread over two days.

That was what the Central and West Zealand Police had to spend to scrape 55,000 kroner into the state coffers. As many as 37 blew the ban on turning left and even on the same road in Holbæk.

This is what the police circle writes in a post on Facebook .

Specifically, the ban is present at a junction around Holbæk Megacenter, because such a turn is assessed to be too dangerous on that stretch.

But the 37 motorists in total didn't care, when the police moved out to Stenhusvej over two days in August. It is now costing them dearly.

The police district informs that in the coming days they will keep an extra close eye on whether motorists are still turning left illegally at the intersection.

When a left turn is by the book or not isn't the only thing drivers have a hard time figuring out. The other day, a record was set, when law enforcement caught a whopping 1,372 motorists driving on an 'illegal' road in the space of just 72 minutes. Read more about it here .
