Siv waited 2.5 years for a new clutch – Toyota refused help

Siv Åsynje has been in tears that she had to wait 2.5 years for a new clutch for her Toyota. At first, the car brand also refused to help.

Not only did Siv Åsynje have to wait 2.5 years for a new clutch for her Urban Cruiser. The car brand refused to help her at all. At least in the beginning.

The car owner tells Motor.no .

Other Toyota owners have been in the same situation. And the car brand hasn't been much help. Blue. writes Motor.no about a woman whose car Toyota could suddenly find a clutch for. So in the course of 5 months.

It all boils down to a flood at the Chinese sub-supplier that supplies clutches to Toyota. And so it has triggered a nightmare for the owners.

For Siv Åsynje, the fad with Toyota meant that she had to buy another car just to get around. That gave her two car loans to pay off.

After 2.5 years, however, the workshop finally called and said that they had received the parts to repair the clutch. But Siv Åsynje had to pay full price for them. Even if she had bought the car from exactly the same dealer.

Toyota defended itself by saying that the car was not serviced by them. Therefore, there was no cooldown to follow either. That is, until Motor.no got involved.

Now Toyota is apologizing by saying that it was well aware that Siv Åsynje had been given a different price in the first place, but that she was asked to pay the full price because 'customer service had not received the message'.

Siv Åsynje is left with a feeling of being very disappointed with Toyota. However, the Japanese are not the only ones who go wrong in the city with customers.

A huge bill, for example, turned into almost nothing when Volkswagen owner Hans Ole told Boosted about his automatic gearbox. Read more about that case here .
