Tesla can be kicked out: "The rules apply to everyone"

Tesla may be kicked out of Sweden's largest trade portal for cars, Blocket.se. Here, the rules affecting the car brand have been changed.

Tesla in Sweden, like in Denmark, has ended up on a list that probably very few car dealers and importers hope to end up on.

Here at home the list is called the 'eaves cupboard', in Sweden they call it 'the black list'. Tesla has ended up in both parts because the brand refuses to comply with decisions from the countries' car complaint appeal board.

And in Sweden, Blocket.se might be ready to go one step further in the face of Tesla. The platform will no longer make room for car dealers and importers on the list.

– Our policy applies to all car dealers on Blocket, including Tesla, says Jessica Cervin, customer security manager at Blocket, in a response to Carup .

The block changed the rules in October last year, and so far 20 car dealers have been kicked out of the portal on that basis.

The customer security manager confirms that they are in contact with Tesla to get clarity on the situation. There are indications, however, that Blocket does not completely follow its own rules for the blacklisted companies. At least not when it comes to Tesla.

– We have been in contact with Tesla and are currently in a process where we follow up on their case to ensure that they follow our policy, says Jessica Cervin to the media.

Here at home, Tesla is the only car importer in the so-called window cupboard. The latest case against the Danish importer was published on 29 July this year, but the decision, which goes against the car brand, is from May.

The case is about a broken taillight, but even though it broke within the warranty period and Tesla actually replaced it once, it's now gone bad again.

Tesla explains that the error is now due to the products that the driver uses to wash the car with, an explanation that the complaint board does not believe. Conversely, Tesla refuses to comply with the appeals board's decisions at all.
