A Porsche owner has taken his insurance company to court because he believes he should get more compensation for an accident in a Porsche 911 GT2 RS.
A dark gray Porsche 911 GT2 RS was just 11 days old when its owner – a Norwegian man in his 50s – hit a tree and smashed the car. Now he wants more in compensation.
The man has already won over his insurance company, If Forsikring, which initially refused to pay compensation because it was believed that the Porsche owner was too strong before the accident.
But both the city court and the court of appeal have ruled in favor of the Porsche owner. He must be compensated. So now he has received the equivalent of DKK 3.63 million for the Porsche. But that is not enough at all, says the owner.

Instead, the man believes that he should get 5.2 million Danish kroner – i.e. another 1.57 million kroner – for the rare Porsche. The money is to cover repair and storage costs that the man claims to be facing.
However, If Forsikring refuses to hear about it. Instead, the company's lawyer believes that the man can only receive compensation for what the car was worth when it was 11 days old in 2021.
The car has still not been repaired after the accident, and the owner's lawyer believes that it has only become more expensive to fix the car since the accident. Therefore, the compensation must also be increased. The parties appear in court next week.
– I am as unimpressed with If now as I was before. Even though they lost both in the district court and the court of appeal, they just keep going, says the Porsche owner.
