New Formula 1 team will give Sebastian Vettel a seat

He himself did not want to rule out a comeback to the sport. And now the media believe they know that Sebastian Vettel is on his way back to Formula 1 with Audi.

When Sauber becomes Audi's factory team in 2026, German may be spoken on both sides of the garage.

In any case, four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel must now be a hot topic at Audi, now that the Germans failed to lure Ferrari sacked Carlos Sainz with a contract.

This is written by Austrian OE24 .

– 37-year-old Sebastian Vettel's name has suddenly gained momentum around Audi, and Helmut Marko has confirmed Vettel's desire to return to Formula 1, writes the media.

Audi has also recently hired a person who has previously worked with the four-time world champion. Namely the former Ferrari boss Mattia Binotto and Red Bull's current sporting director Jonathan Wheatley.

Both must share the overall responsibility for Audi's performance in Formula 1. However, there are also other teams at play for the other end of the Audi garage. Names such as Mick Schumacher and the current Sauber choir Valtteri Bottas have already been mentioned.

Something else is that the German brand with headquarters in Ingolstadt was actually just about to leave Formula 1, because it had even appeared on the grid. Read more about it here .

If you put on the Danish glasses, the only Dane in the field is technically unemployed. However, in the latest statement Kevin Magnussen has made, it does not sound as if the now 31-year-old Dane is seriously under pressure over his contractual conditions. Or the lack thereof.

Find that story and many more in Boosted's 'motorsport' category. Here we also tell you that a just 15-year-old Dane will soon be doing a test for a very famous Formula 4 team.

Back at Sebastian Vettel, it has only been a series of guest appearances in older Formula 1 cars that run on synthetic gasoline since the German left Aston Martin after 2022.
