Kevin Magnussen is excited about the future: "No stress"

Despite the ever fewer vacant seats in Formula 1, the future is not a stress factor for Kevin Magnussen. Not even if he is leaving Haas soon.

Kevin Magnussen is not exactly stressed. At least not about the future, which may/may not offer Formula 1 from next season.

Because even though the Dane is leaving Haas, which has only been a home for him with short interruptions since 2017, there is peace.

– I have been in such situations so often that it doesn't bother me too much. Naturally, I would love to stay here (in Formula 1, ed.). But that's only part of it.

– There are quite a few other steps along the way. I would certainly like to have certainty, but on the other hand it is also exciting that things will look different next year, says the Dane according to Motorsport-total .

Magnussen maintains that he still prioritizes Formula 1. But there are fewer and fewer seats. Realistically, there are four seats left. Namely the still available seats at Alpine and Sauber. The latter will join Audi in 2026 and has already secured K-Mag's current teammate, Nico Hulkenberg.

– Formula 1 is the pinnacle of motorsport, and everyone hangs on to it as long as they can. Nothing comes close to the feeling of a Formula 1 car. But that may change in 2026, says Magnussen.

Although there is also a life outside Formula 1, the Dane takes the whole situation as 'technically unemployed' with great calmness.

– I want to try other things, but I'm only 31, so I don't stress myself.

Magnussen also believes that in several respects he is at the top at the moment. This is largely due to the experience that 10 years in Formula 1 gives.

– When I was a rookie, mentally I was completely different than I am now. And that is purely because of experience. I'm on top in that regard, I think, and next year I'll be on top again.

The next Formula 1 lob is at Circuit Park Zandvoort in the Netherlands. But before it gets going for K-Mag and the rest of the field, the Danish racing choir is a guest at the Auto Show in the Odense Congress Center. It's this weekend.
