These drivers are most dissatisfied with their electric cars

Fortunately, many motorists are happy with their cars regardless of fuel. But there are also those who turn the thumbs down. And now the most disaffected of them have numbers.

A new survey from German UScale has mapped both ends of the scale when it comes to satisfaction among electric car owners.

The electric car owners have been asked about everything from charging capacity to software problems to range, consumption and the quality of the cars. Finally, the owners were asked if they would recommend others to drive the same electric cars as themselves.

And if we are to take the top first, Tesla is apparently doing best. But neither Porsche nor BMW are far behind in the top three when it comes to whether drivers would recommend an electric car to others or not.

If you turn the picture upside down, it looks worst for the Stellantis group. In fact, Opel, Citroën and Peugeot make up the absolute bottom positions in the survey.

As many as 62 percent of owners of electric Peugeot models say they would not recommend the cars to others. That figure is 59 percent for Citroën owners and 54 percent for Opel owners.

Roughly in the middle, BYD, Ford and Skoda share the scale. In connection with the survey, almost 5,000 electric car owners in Germany, Austria and Switzerland were asked about their satisfaction with their electric cars. They became so in the period May to July this year.
